As for the original post, I think it's a great idea! I'll keep an eye out for it. Are we going to have a way to show our talent builds? I am thinking about going healing with my Smuggler, but my advanced class is also DPS.
I have a few names floating around in my head. I am hoping I can snag Neyre at launch. It's the name of an old PnP DnD character I had--a cutpurse/burglar. Seems to be a good name choice for a smuggler. Then again, I might just create something new. I am going to check out that name generator thingy.
I am just curious if anyone else decided to change their main/starting class since playing in beta. I originally was going to be a trooper but I fell in love with the smuggler. I was so engrossed by the story and and the smuggler attitude that I stopped playing so as not to spoil it for myself when the game launches.
So did playing beta change anyone else's minds? What made you change if you did?
I had so much fun with beta! Funny thing was, I played a Smuggler and absolutely fell in love with the class. I won't be rolling a Trooper now (at least not right away). I took 4 characters to level 5 (maybe not the best test, but I really just wanted to figure out what class/story I wanted to start with when the game is live).
Cool! I will be sure to check it out since I plan on rolling a healer (still on the fence between trooper and smuggler.... but I think I favor trooper). Meh, maybe I will roll both and see which one I like more :D
I am torn between trooper and smuggler... for me, no force user is easy since I don't really care for "magical" characters (not sure why--never liked playing mages, wizards, or anything like that in any game I've ever played).
Of course, I was convinced I was going to be a trooper... but now I am thinking about smuggler too. And if a smuggler has a cooler story... well, I love story more than combat. My Sith side is going to be a bounty hunter, so I am leaning more towards smuggler again. This is hard for me.. I don't usually play alts, so ...
Ah... I never get Beta invites for anything... oh well. Hope you folks that got them have fun :) Don't forget to report problems (I secretly suspect SWTOR know that if they ask me to beta "test" it will all be about me having fun, lol).
Thanks for sharing this. It's actually the first review I've read, lol (yeah, I am behind the ball on that). It's pretty interesting though and makes me even more excited for the game to launch.
